Bowen Deep V at full speed in rough seas

Bowen in Martinique

Bowen is the Caribbean builder cut out for our seas. Deep V hulls born in Trinidad in 1969, known for staying the driest in rough seas. Fishing, day cruising, transport, racing: custom-built boats, distributed and serviced locally by Extreme Marine.

A Caribbean brand

Bowen, Caribbean craftsmanship since 1969

It all starts in Trinidad in 1969, when Brian Bowen draws and builds his first hull, the 22 named DDI. Two years later, the 28 Zandoli establishes the brand’s reputation across the Caribbean and gives it its motto: the driest boat in rough seas.

Bowen is not a production yard. Every boat is customized: center console, cuddy cabin, side console, engine options, fishing layout. Hand-laid hulls, built to swallow Caribbean swell without pounding or taking water on board.

The brand also made its name on the water, in racing: several wins in the Trinidad to Tobago Great Race and podiums in Puerto Rico, Antigua, Grenada and as far as Key West. That racing discipline carries over to the cruising and fishing models.

The deep hulls that are Bowen’s signature, from the small whaler up to 37 feet. Dry, stable and built to take a beating, for family outings as much as for offshore fishing. A custom builder: the specs vary with the configuration ordered.
